Some of these studies report that it affects positively, the other studies report that it affects negatively. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of oral isotretionin on inner ear and hearing with more participants.

Material-Methods: Hearing evaluation was performed before and after six months using oral isotretionin. Distortion product otoacoustic emission and pure tone audiometry were performed.

Reuslts: There is no statistically significant difference between pre and post-treatment in hearing theresholds. There is no statistically significant difference between pre and post-treatment in amplitude and signal to noise ratio of distortion product otoacoustic emission.

Conclusion: Using of oral sotretionin has no effect on on hearing and inner ear functions. Keywords : Inner ear, hearing, DPOAE, pure tone audiometry, isotretionin
