GIANT CELL REPERATIVE GRANULOMA: A CASE REPORT

Head and neck involvement is frequently seen in mandible and maxilla. Regression of the lesion size with various medical agents is a mysterious aspect of the this tumor. On the other hand, the foreign body granuloma may occur in various tissues due to foreign body reaction. We report a case of giant cell reperative granuloma which has a great dimensions of lesion in a eight years old child. The initial diagnosis was foreign body giant cell granoluma because of the lesion containing the foreign body. But at the final stage of the diagnostic process, the lesion was diagnosed as giant cell reperative granuloma. In this article, the pitfalls of the differential diagnosis of giant cell reperative granuloma were discussed. Keywords : Granuloma, giant cell, foreign body, oral cavity
