QUALITY OF LIFE IN POSTLINGUALLY DEAF ADULTS AFTER COCHLEAR IMPLANTATION

Ankara Numune Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi, KBB, ANKARA, Türkiye Aim of our study is to present effect of cochlear implantation on the quality of life in postlingually deaf adults. In our study to evaluate the post operative quality of life, WHOQOL-BREF and SF-36 were used. Results of the questionnaires had resulted 70% or more patient satisfaction in all classification. Physicosocial factors must be considered to evaluate success of implantation with audiological factors. Keywords : Quality of life, cochlear implant, hearing loss
