AN INFREQUENT CASE OF INTRANASAL MASS: MASSIVE PYOCELE OF MIDDLE TURBINATE

The differential diagnosis of a massive mucocele or pyocele of the middle turbinate from other intranasal masses can be greatly faciliated by intranasal endoscophic examination and advanced radiographic techniques like computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. We treated a concha bullosa pyocele in a 47 year-old man, leading to complete obstruction of the left nasal cavity, by endoscophic surgery. Keywords : concha bullosa, pyocele, intranasal mass
