SURGERY IN A PATIENT WITH FACTOR 7 DEFİCİENCY: ADENOIDECTOMY EXPERIENCE

It may be encountered with different severity of bleeding symptoms, from mild epistaxis to severe intracerebral bleeding. Diagnosis is commonly made during childhood but, in case of severe deficiency serious bleeding may occur during the neonatal period. Patients in whom surgery is planned, plasma factor levels are of great importance. In patients with mild bleeding disorders treatment should be planned before surgery, to support the process of hemostasis during and after surgery and to prevent perioperative and postoperative bleeding complications. In this study, we presented management of factor 7 treatment in a patient with Factor 7 deficiency who required adenoidectomy. Keywords : Factor 7 deficiency, Adenoidectomy
