BALANCE IN SPACE

Direction interpretations such as up and down can be use under the influence of gravity. Impact of the changes in gravitational force are great that constituting the basement in the functioning of the vestibular system which has been adapted to work on earth. Space motion sickness (SMS) is caused by the disappearance of the gravity and balance. Balance is provided again with the introduction of mechanisms of adaptation. In this article, we presented an overview of the studies about the effects of space on the vestibular system, balance and adaptation issues. Keywords : Space, balance, vestibular system
