ANGIOMATOUS POLYP: A NASAL POLYP VARİANT THAT MAY SIMULATE VASCULAR NEOPLASMS

³Yıldırım Beyazıt Üniversitesi, Kulak Burun Boğaz, Ankara, Türkiye Angiomatous polyps are a subtype of inflammatory sinonasal polyps that are rarely reported. They usually obliterate the sinonasal tract unilaterally. Clinically, pathologically and radiologically features simulate a malign process, so it can be confused with other vascular neoplasms. Usually they present an unilateral nasal mass with recurrent, ipsilateral epistaxis. We report a 20-year old male presented with nasal obstruction, hyperemia in the right upper eyelid and facial edema. He was evaluated by endoscopic examination and a large polypoid mass was seen in the right nasal tract. Urgent endoscopic sinüs surgery was performed. After the surgery, we made histopathological research and found angiomatous polyp. 53 months follow up, there was no complication and recurrence.
