Aim: We aimed to compare short- and long-term follow-up results of patients undergoing endoscopic endonasal dacryocystorhinostomy, and to discuss factors affecting the success of endoscopic endonasal dacryocystorhinostomy considering the literature.

Methods: The study included 61 eyes of 42 adult patients who had undergone endonasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy and silicone tube intubation for nasolacrimal duct obstruction. The data of the patients who were examined in the sixth postoperative month and 3rd year were statistically analyzed.

Results: The mean age of the patients was 50.47±7.95 years. The functional and anatomical success results obtained in the 6th month and in the 3rd year are compared, the success rates decrease, but they do not show a statistically significant difference (p> 0.05).

Conclusion: Endoscopic endonasal dacryocystorhinostomy surgery is a safe and effective surgical procedure in the treatment of nasolacrimal duct obstruction in terms of short and long term results. Keywords : Endonasal; endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy; epiphora; nasolacrimal duct
