TRANSCERVİCAL-TRANSMANDIBULAR APPROACH FOR PARAPHARYNGEAL MASSES: REPORT OF FOUR CASES

Even if the masses are benign, surgery of them is risky because of their location, and various approaches as transoral, transcervical, transparotid and transcervical-transmandibular have been suggested to reach this region. Transcervical-transmandibular approach enables a wide surgical exposure and is preferred for the large tumors of the parapharyngeal space. In this article, four patients with parapharyngeal masses who were operated through transcervical-transmandibular approach were presented reviewing the literature.
