They constitute a spectrum of disorders from simple non-displaced or greenstick fracture to complicated, comminuted, displaced or dislocated fractures according to the factors like the age of the patient or severity of the trauma. The aim of treatment is to restore the mandible structure, proper occlusion and chewing function with the lowest morbidity and complication rate.
