Sağlık Bakanlığı Keçiören Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi, KBB, Ankara, Türkiye Concha bullosa or conchal pneumatization is the most common anatomic variation of ostiomeatal complex region that is generally seen in the middle turbinate, but also rarely in the superior and inferior turbinate. Pneumatization of the middle turbinate may originate from the frontal recess, anterior ethmoids, or directly from the middle meatus. Concha bullosa is usually asymptomatic but sometimes nasal obstruction, headache, postnasal discharge, and hyposmia can be seen. Pyocele occurs when concha bullosa becomes infected. In case of a pyocele, middle turbinate may become expanded and occupy the surrounding structures. If not treated may lead intracranial and orbital complications. Concha bullosa pyocele is rarely seen. We report a case of massive concha bullosa pyocele which has caused nasal obstruction and headache for two years. Keywords : Concha bullosa, pyocele
