In this paper, by determining the pathological mechanisms depending on the characteristics of the nystagmus emerging during diagnostic maneuvers (canalolithiasis, cupulolithiasis, canalith jam, and central disinhibition mechanism), appropriate therapeutic maneuvers due were specified. A diagram for arriving appropriate diagnosis and treatment for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo was designated. Keywords : Positional vertigo; paroxysmal, diagnosis, treatment, pathophysiology
